Duduza fitness enthusiast launches nutritious shots to make healthy living easier

Duduza – Thembi Mokoena (29) is a fitness bunny who started her fitness journey during her first year of varsity. It started as a hobby while I was a student, trying to stay fit and active.
“I joined the gym and got a wellness evaluation, which stated that I was overweight and needed to lose weight.“Little did I know that I would fall in love with everything that has to do with fitness.
“Over time, being overweight was the main reason I took fitness seriously. Seeing to it that I was at risk of health issues such as diabetes,” she said.
“I remember looking in the mirror one day and not liking what I saw.

“I felt like I hated my body and everything seemed so big, my clothes were too tight, and nothing felt right. I knew I had to do something about it.”

Mokoena mentioned that her journey towards weight loss has not been easy and has come with challenges. She explained that there are days when she simply wants to give up.
“I used to compare myself to others, especially fitness influencers on social media, thinking that what worked for them would automatically work for me.
“I did not realise that weight loss and fitness are not one-size-fits-all. You have to focus on yourself, learn to listen to your body, and stay consistent,” she cited.
She said she managed to convince herself to adopt a clean-eating diet, exercise regularly, and start following individuals who inspired her on social media.
She elaborated that weight loss and fitness go hand in hand with Nutrition.

“One can go to the gym seven times a week, but if your nutrition is a mess, you will not see any results.
“I made the same mistake and got frustrated when I saw no results. It is important that your fitness goal aligns with what you put into your body,’ she mentioned.
Mokoena recently launched a fitness shot business, preparing small bottles of blended fruits, vegetables and a bit of herbs and spices from the convenience of her own home.
This idea came after she realised that many people, like her, do not enjoy eating fruits and vegetables and prefer to drink them instead.
“These shots are convenient, easily accessible, and perfect for people on the go. Her fitness shots are designed to highlight the importance of proper nutrition.

“The state of your body is a reflection of what you put into it. Health and fitness always start with what you eat,” Mokoena added.
“Our bodies thrive on good nutrition. I specifically chose ingredients that are easily accessible and budget-friendly.
“These shots do not contain artificial additives, no preservatives, just freshly made goodness.”
She advised individuals who want to keep fit to take good care of themselves and to study and understand exactly what their bodies need.
“The most important thing is to take care of your body. Being overweight can lead to other health issues and make you feel uncomfortable in your own skin.
“It is better to start now than to feel sorry or deal with sickness later,” she concluded.
