Kwa-Thema – In a heartfelt act of kindness, Liebherr-Africa has donated 350 classroom chairs to Umsobomvu Primary School on March 9.
Philip Grover, the general manager for commercial and domestic appliances, says they believe that investing in education is an investment in the future of communities where they operate.
He added that investing in community engagement transforms lives while providing a solid foundation for a future, skilled workforce.
“As part of our commitment to community development, every year we allocate funding to initiatives that make a meaningful difference to the lives of those around us.

“We are approached by many deserving communities and schools seeking support, each with their own unique needs and aspirations,” he said.
Grobler said this year the company was deeply moved by an application from Umsobomvu Primary School in which they requested assistance in purchasing classroom chairs, a simple but essential requirement to ensure learners have a comfortable and dignified space in which to learn and grow.
“Supporting this initiative was more than just providing chairs; it was about creating an environment where young minds can thrive, where education is respected, and where opportunity begins in the classroom.
“We are honoured to play a small, but meaningful role in strengthening the foundation for the next generation,” he said.
