Tsakani – Youth organisation Abatsha Force of Change will host a matric gala dinner titled Beyond the Score for the Class of 2025, aimed at helping young people transition confidently into life after school.According to co-founder Nhongo Solo, the event seeks to reassure matriculants that their final results do not define their future.“The aim of the event is to provide young people with information to help them make the best decisions for their lives,” said Solo. “Whatever their matric results are, we want them to know that there are many opportunities available to them.”She added that the initiative is designed to reduce anxiety among matriculants as they prepare to enter the real world.

“We want to help reduce their anxieties as they walk into the real world,” she said.Solo emphasised that the gala is not only for learners who may be worried about their results, but also for those who performed well.“Even learners who have done well in their final exams can benefit. We will assist with late applications and provide bursary information. Everyone who was in matric in 2025 should come,” she added. The event will begin with a red-carpet experience, leading guests to a registration area where they will receive career resource booklets and mental wellness guides.A networking lounge will feature interactive booths from universities, TVET colleges, gap-year programmes, apprenticeship agencies and mental health organisations.
