Ekurhuleni book clubs celebrating after winning trophies and tickets to George during the Gauteng provincial Funda Mzansi Book Clubs Championships.
Ekurhuleni book clubs operating under Ekurhuleni libraries will compete in this year’s Funda Mzansi Book Clubs National Championship 2024.
This will take place in George in the Western Cape from September 23 to 27.
Ekurhuleni clubs go to this event after they scooped 10 trophies from different languages from the provincial championships held in Roodepoort this weekend.
In George, Team Ekurhuleni will compete in Xhosa, Afrikaans, Zulu, English, Sesotho, Venda, Tsonga, Ndebele and Sepedi book reading.
