Tsakani – The Kwatsaduza Masters League games continued at the Buhlebemfundo ground in Tsakani Ext 11 on April 27.
The match between PFC and the Black Stars had spectators on the edge of their seats, with cheers echoing from all corners of the field.
The coaches guided their teams towards the right direction. PCF player Bonginkosi Mthombothi said the first half was fun-filled, exciting and fairly judged by the referee.
“Everything went as planned, although we lost. We made mistakes here and there, which included losing the form of our positions. The middle fielders were just too comfortable. In the second half, we lost focus while fighting to equalise with our opponents.
“Going forward, we should each stick to our positions, focus more and communicate responsibly and constructively,” explained Mthombothi.
Mthombothi said they need to be more comfortable with one another on the ground because it might have a positive effect.
“The ground is always full of supporters, which motivates us and many others who seek entertainment. We want to see our league initiative grow bigger and impact more people,” he added.Black Stars won 2-0.
“The game for us was not tough or easy. We made a few mistakes at the back, due to our defences not being organised. We fixed these issues in the second half. We scored our first goal in the first half.
“We missed a penalty in the first 15 minutes of the first half but scored the second goal within the first few minutes of the second half,” said player Vusimuzi Ngwenya.
Ngwenya said the second half was tough for their opponents because they kept the ball away from them.
“I can only imagine how frustrating that might have been for them. We wrapped up the game in a meaningful way. We are delighted to have won in this manner. We aim to do well in all the other games,” Ngwenya said.
