Kwa-Thema to host Township and Rural Business Development Roadshow on April 29



Kwa-Thema – A bold and transformative initiative aimed at unlocking economic opportunities in townships and rural communities will officially launch on April 29, at the Kwa-Thema Community Hall in Ekurhuleni.

The Township and Rural Business Development Roadshow will bring together entrepreneurs, industry leaders, policymakers, and business development experts for a full day of empowerment, learning, and networking from 08:00 to 16:00.

“Designed as a catalyst for inclusive economic growth, the roadshow will feature a dynamic programme.

“This includes high-impact panel discussions, practical masterclasses, live entertainment, exhibitions, vibrant pop-up market showcasing local talent and products and light lunch and networking session,” said CEO and founder of the township show, Ntethelelo Mposwa

The event will be hosted by renowned media personality Criselda Kananda, who will serve as the official MC, guiding attendees through an engaging and insightful experience.

This landmark initiative is delivered in strategic partnership with Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency (SEDFA), under the Department of Small Business Development, as well as the Gauteng Department of Economic Development.

“Together, these partners are committed to fostering entrepreneurship, supporting small businesses, and driving sustainable economic development in underserved communities.

“Entrepreneurs based in Ekurhuleni have been specifically invited to take part in this powerful platform, which aims to bridge the gap between opportunity and access.

The initiative aims to equip participants with the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to grow and sustain their businesses,” said Mposwa.

“This Township and Rural Business Development Roadshow marks the beginning of a broader movement to elevate township and rural economies, ensuring that no entrepreneur is left behind in South Africa’s growth journey.”
