Masimini Primary learners dominate school athletics, advance to district championships



Kwa-Thema – Four Masimini Primary School learners participated in the school athletics competitions held on February 10 at the Kwa-Thema Stadium, achieving remarkable success by finishing first in all their respective events.
Iviwe Dube claimed first place in the 100m race, while Thato Simelane secured the top position in the 1200m race.
Lwandle Ndaba impressed by taking first place in both the 80m and 100m races, and Lungile Japhta rounded off the victories by winning the 1500m race.
The learners further procced to District Primary School Athletics Championships on the February 18 at Boksburg Stadium.

Unfortunately, the learners did not make it to the Provincial competitions although the school remains proud of their dedication and hard work.
Head of Department (HOD) and the sport coordinator Siphiwesakhe Ndlovu congratulated the athletic achievers.
“You dedication, long hours of training, and unwavering commitment to excellence have truly paid off.
“We are incredibly proud of your hard work, passion, and, most importantly, your sportsmanship. Keep pushing boundaries, chasing your dreams, and inspiring us all. Well done champions,” he said.
