School Is Cool NPC empowers learners through education, career guidance and partnerships

Duduza – School Is Cool NPC is ready to uplift, assist, and encourage learners to love and appreciate the culture of learning.
The NPC is rooted in the development and empowerment of young people through education, innovation, and opportunity.
Founded in Duduza, the organisation was created to respond to the daily challenges learners face in their pursuit of knowledge, purpose, and a better future.
What began as a community-driven initiative has steadily grown in impact and reach. Last year, the organisation hosted several career expo events, career shadowing experiences, motivational talks, bursary application drives, and many other initiatives.
Their vision is to uplift learners beyond the classroom.
“Central to this vision is the introduction of career expos, learning interventions, and business and entrepreneurship opportunities in schools.

“These initiatives aim to expose learners to diverse career paths, equip them with practical skills, and inspire them to dream beyond their circumstances while providing tangible pathways to success.
“As we grow as an organisation, we are committed to building strong, sustainable relationships with schools, potential sponsors, the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE), and the Department of Social Development,” said School Is Cool NPC president Tshepo Sithole.
“These partnerships are vital in creating holistic support systems that address both educational and social needs of learners.”
School Is Cool NPC envisions spreading its footprint further and ultimately establishing an office in Johannesburg.

This will allow the organisation to serve more schools, reach more learners, and amplify its mission. Their mission is to empower underprivileged school learners through education and career guidance, bridging the gap between potential and opportunity.
Their vision is to create a society where every child has access to quality education and career opportunities, unlocking their full potential.
“This year, we aim to transform the thinking of more children from the mentality of school being boring and useless to a School Is Cool mentality.
“We want to help source funding for underprivileged university students to curb a perceptible surge of dropouts due to lack of funding,” added Sithole.
With support, Sithole said they can amplify their impact and create lasting change in the lives of all school children.
The organisation is also open to partnerships with local businesses, internship programmes, and potential sponsorship opportunities.
