Kwa-Thema – RDP have secured their place in the Tsamaya Masters Social League Top 8 final after thrashing Tsakane Masters 3-0 in a thrilling semi-final clash at Ntokozweni Ground on Sunday.
RDP’s Bantu Ngidi credited the team’s impressive run to the fresh talent added this season.
“We have been performing really well up to this point, and I think it is due to the new blood in the team,” said Ngidi.
He explained that 70% of the squad joined the team this season, bringing renewed energy and composure.
“They have kept cool heads that seems to be paying off,” he added.
Despite their dominant semi-final display, Ngidi remains cautious about the upcoming final.
Bantu Ngidi says new blood in the RDP squad has been key to their impressive run to the final.
“I don’t want to predict what will happen in the final. I always say the only thing that matters is what we do on the field. If we deserve to win on the day, we will win,” he said.
On the same day, Amaubber Masters edged Amajuba Masters 4-33 in a closely contested match to book their spot in the final.
RDP will face Amaubber Masters in the Top 8 final on February 22 at 12:00, at Ntokozweni Ground.
