Kwa-Thema’s Borre Social Club celebrates 21 years of mentoring men and supporting families



Kwa-Thema – Founded in 2005, Borre Social Club marked a significant milestone, celebrating 21 years of existence on January 21. The club focuses on issues such as family well-being, parenting, and fatherhood.
“Through the discussionswe normally have, our men are becoming better husbands and fathers in their families.
“When a father has lost a loved one, we offer support in times of grief and we also give financial support to help with the burial,” explained club secretary Mogupudi Moremi.
He mentioned that the constructive conversations they have help a lot as they all have something to learn.
Along the way, they have faced challenges such as losing members due to death, misconduct, loss of equipment and stolen funds.

“As a club, we had to revisit our policy and tighten up, and also change our operations so we can ensure maximum security.
“Within 21 years, we have achieved significant milestones. Our membership grew into a strong group.
“To keep the club united and active, we practise brotherhood at all levels, which means we uphold honesty and discipline at all times,” he added.
“Celebrating 21 years reflects our resilience in overcoming any challenges that come our way. The journey itself is what makes this achievement truly prestigious.”
He emphasised that club members must continue to uphold the spirit of brotherhood and togetherness. He added that their vision is to provide a platform where men can engage with one another to build a better society.
