Kwa-Thema – Passionate make-up artist Basetsana Moabelo launched her free make-up classes with powerful impact on March 16. Her vision is to pass on skills to other individuals and help empower them.
“With a skill in make-up, one can open their own salon, can do people’s faces for occasions or events, or can also offer make-up lessons within the community.
“Graduation and matric dances are fast approaching. Those attending the lessons may be able to make an income for themselves,” she explained.
Moabelo cited that as a community member who has seen a huge number of unemployed individuals within her community, she wants to make a difference.

One of the attendees, Sylvia Molaba said she has always wanted to learn how to do make-up.
“Apart from the creative expression that comes with being a make-up artist, I feel the business has a lot of money.
“I want to be my own boss, come up with my own prices and make a financially stable life for myself,” she said.
Community members who are interested may contact Moabelo on 078 268 1715.
