Kwa-Thema – Local bodybuilder Xolani ‘Sgaqagaqa’ Motshweni continues to make waves nationally following a standout performance at the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation Pro Diva 2025 competition in Midrand.
The event, a qualifier for future professional showcases, saw Sgaqagaqa place fourth in the first round and fight back to claim third in the second.
“I want to thank everyone who continues to support me in my bodybuilding journey,” said Motshweni, who works at Tshipi-Noto.
More than chasing titles, he hopes his journey inspires others in Kwa-Thema to explore the sport.
“I know many people don’t take bodybuilding seriously, but I’m working to change that. I’m proud of every award I’ve received. Every time I step on stage, I represent my entire community,” he said.
Motshweni is also investing in the sport locally. He has opened a gym in Ext 3 and plans to coach and mentor aspiring bodybuilders.
His next competition is the Fire & Ice Jacaranda Classic in September. A strong showing could earn him a spot on the international stage.
