Five arrested in Tsakani drug bust

Tsakani – EMPD Tracing Unit officers recently intercepted five men for possession and possible dealing in narcotics in Tsakani.
The suspects are between 26 and 41 years old. According to CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, a tip-off was received about suspicious activity at various places in the Tsakani area.
“The officers followed up on the information and arrested one man for possession of a small ziplock packet of crystal meth.
“The second suspect was arrested on Kgari Street and was found in possession of 39 small ziplock packets of crystal meth.

“The third suspect was found with 88 small ziplock packets of Khat,” he stated.
Dlamini explained that the remaining two suspects were found with 6 ziplock packets of Khat and 10 ziplock packets of crystal meth, as well as R320 in cash.
All the arrested suspects were detained at the Tsakane Police Station, and the narcotics were booked in.
The suspects are expected to appear before the Tsakane Magistrate’s Court soon.
