Kwa-Thema – The EMPD Community Liaison Unit (CLU) and Intervention Unit officers, in conjunction with Kwa-Thema SAPS officers, successfully apprehended four wanted suspects on March 26.
According to CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, the arrests were carried out following information received about the suspects’ whereabouts.
“Officers acted swiftly on the intelligence, tracing and intercepting the individuals, all of whom had outstanding warrants of arrest issued against them.
“The suspects, aged between 29 and 41, are linked to serious offences including possession of stolen property, housebreaking, theft and business burglary,” he said.
All four suspects have been detained at the Kwa-Thema Police Station and are expected to appear before the Springs Magistrate’s Court soon.
