Kwa-Thema – The Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, in partnership with the City of Ekurhuleni, recently hosted a successful Ekurhuleni Fit 4 Free Aerobics Marathon.
The event was held at Kwa-Thema Stadium, and the theme of the day was to promote healthier lifestyles while strengthening community unity through physical activity.
The event received support from over 400 participants. Health services were also available for screenings, and fitness was strongly promoted throughout the event.
Aerobics clubs from around Ekurhuleni also came to show support.
Sport promotion officer Kagiso Shongwe thanked Kwataduza residents for participating in the Fit 4 Free Aerobics Marathon.
“The overcast weather allowed for aerobics. People of all ages from children to elderly citizens actively participated. Much thanks to the community of Kwa-Thema for the support,” he said.
