“The goal is to nurture creative expression within young people, which can have long-lasting benefits.
“I create learning opportunities for aspiring young individuals by helping them find their feet in the fashion and design industry,” she said.
“There is enough space for all of us in the creative industry, and the best way to share the platform is by educating one another.”
Her advice to other creatives is to start their journeys as a creative with clarity and focus.
“Begin by defining your niche, whether it is fashion styling, event planning, makeup, photography, or design.“Knowing your area of expertise allows you to stand out and build credibility.
“Set clear goals. Create a portfolio to showcase your work, even if it’s just small projects or styled photoshoots, and start small by taking freelance gigs or internships to gain experience,” she advised.

Mphuti said financial planning is essential for aspiring creatives.
She mentioned the following as other beneficial ways of making each business stronger:

• Networking plays a crucial role in a creative career. Attend industry events like fashion shows, pop-up markets, or workshops to meet peers and potential clients.
• Social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn are invaluable for connecting with other creatives and brands. Collaboration is key. Working with photographers, models, stylists, or event vendors helps expand your portfolio and reach.
• Mentorship can accelerate your growth, and building genuine relationships within your creative community is far more valuable than simply seeking opportunities.
