Blue Birds U13 make Tsakani proud with semi-final finish in Brakpan LFA league

Tsakani – Blue Birds U13 team recently represented Tsakani in the Brakpan Local Football Association (LFA) league held in Reiger Park, where the team delivered an outstanding performance.

Their coach, Man Hlatshwayo, said they did not think they would participate in the league’s latter stages.

“We played very well from the group stage, went on to the quarter finals, but did not make it through the semi-finals.

“The LFA has given my boys the experience they need. They played a good and well-maintained game,” he said.

“This experience has also helped them socialise with their peers.”

Hlatshwayo expressed that even though they did not compete at the regional level, they managed to put Tsakani on the map.

“I am beyond thrilled with the team’s performance. The boys gave their all from start to finish and showed great character.

“I am thankful for the community support and for the parents,” he said.

The team’s journey in the tournament highlighted their potential and fighting spirit.
