Kwa-Thema – The Lebo Care Centre recently hosted a charity drive on Sesoko Street. Lebogang Motlhanke and his volunteer team donated pre-loved clothes received from the public to over 40 children.
Motlhanke runs the organisation from his home.
“We are attracting more and more children, which means we need more hands on deck,” he explained.
Motlhanke said his ultimate goal was to create a place where children could come daily to do their homework and have a hot meal.
“At this point, I don’t have enough to give them daily. But when I have something, I give it to them,” Motlhanke said.
Motlhanke encouraged the community to donate school uniforms because he sees many needy children. Anyone wanting to contribute can call Motlhanke on 066 073 7990.
Parents and children pick out the clothing they want.
