Local soccer lovers ready for Soweto’s biggest rivalry match

Local soccer lovers are keen to see Orlando Pirates go up against Kaiser Chiefs on May 3, at FNB Stadium.
Chiefs supporter Teko Matsepane said he expects Amakhosi to deal with Pirates the same way the dealt with Mamelodi Sundwons on April 13.
“We know that we have not been doing well lately. But whenever they approach us, they look down on us, then we show them a different side.
“Pirates has the attitude that Sundowns had, and it will hurt them on the day. We want to beat them and give their outgoing coach, José Riveiro whose contract will end in June, a goodbye present,” he said.

Chiefs won by two goals to one against Sundowns in the semi-final of the Nedbank Cup.
“Chiefs know that they come to us for revival. We are going to beat them 2-0. They know that our coach did a really good job.
“We have done so well since Riveiro got here,” said Pirates supporter Rangwane Makgabutlane.
The Bucs exited the CAF Champions League at the semi-final stage against Egyptian side Pyramids FC. They lost 3-2 at 30 June Stadium on Friday in Egypt. Makgabutlane and Matsepane encouraged fans to arrive at the venue early.

“We want to get into the stadium and avoid a stampede. There are also people who get to the stadium and just chill outside until the last minute.
“And we also want to warn people against buying tickets from other people, especially on the day of the match.
“Those tickets could be counterfeit and you won’t know until you try to enter the stadium and you are denied,” explained Matsepane.
The league game will kick off at 15:00.
