The group’s memorandum is read and signed by the director of the department, Lutendo Ramalebana.

Pretoria – Members of the Unpaid Benefits Campaign recently protested outside the offices of the National Treasury.
“The SAPS and the JMPD escorted us from the start until we reached the Treasury department.
The UBC memorandum was read and signed by the director of the Treasury department, Lutendo Ramalebana, who also accepted the UBC petition.
“Although we only used a 15-seater Kombi plus a private car, this protest had an impact,” explained Thomas Molokotsa from the organisation.
Treasury was given 21 days to respond.
“Failure to respond will result in millions of people coming because we are going back to the drawing board to plan next year’s protest march,” added Molokotsa.
For more information on the campaign, call Malokotsa on 073 269 6084, Peter Maleka on 066 330 6209 or Thomas Faku on 072 596 2521.

The group demands that National Treasury pay attention to their grievances.

The group gave the government department 21 days to respond to their memorandum.
