Tsakani – Established in 2023 by Man Hlatshwayo, the Blue Birds seeks to provide a safe environment for young athletes in Ext 6.

The U13 boys’ team recently won a gold medal in the Kasi-to-Kasi Tournament.

“I am so proud of them and glad I can get them off the street. I know I can’t save them from every bad thing, but I believe being in the club will help them to be responsible citizens,” he added.

Hlatshwayo said the club desperately needs training equipment and kits.
“They play in oversized jerseys because we have none that fit them properly. We have to train the different age groups on different days because we don’t have enough equipment for everyone to train at the same time,” he explained.
Hlatshwayo believes the club could win more tournaments with the help of sponsors.

The Blue Birds also have a netball team.

Man Hlatshwayo is committed to developing young talent in Tsakani.
