Duduza – The second Kids Sip and Design workshop is set to happen on June 27 at Picanha Restaurant in Nigel.
Founder and owner of the event, Mabontle Mphuti, said the workshop is for children who are from Kwatsaduza.
“The workshop is designed to inspire young minds and encourage children to explore their creativity.
“They get to design, style, and creatively use colour on their own clothes. This is a form of art, but into clothing design,” she explained.
Mphuti emphasised that the goal of the workshop is to promote self-expression, foster collaboration, enhance critical thinking, build confidence, develop new skills, and provide a fun and engaging learning environment.

“I believe that by creating an innovative programme, children will be better equipped to excel in the outside world.
“Design workshops play a vital role across various fields, including product design, service design, business strategy and user experience design,” she explained.
Her target audience is children aged seven to 18.
Mphuti cited that she chose this group because they are at a stage where they are highly teachable and possess strong creative thinking abilities.
She urged parents to bring their children to enjoy a day filled with creativity and excitement.
