Kwa-Thema – The ANCYL Selope Thema Zonal Leadership, led by chairperson Thabiso Msipha, joined by treasurer general Samkele Sigam, recently held a food donation drive.
The drive was held at Kenneth Masekela Secondary School to demonstrate a clear commitment to addressing the basic needs of the communities, particularly access to nutritious food.
A total of 50 food parcels were handed out to community members in need.
“This initiative is not an act of charity, but a continuation of the struggle to restore dignity and advance social justice in our communities.

“As young revolutionaries, we recognise that access to nutritious food is a fundamental right foreveryone, not a privilege.
“Through this programme, we reaffirm our responsibility to confront poverty, inequality, and hunger head-on, while building a society that reflects the values of equality, solidarity, and collective upliftment,” explained Msipha.
The individuals also conducted door-to-door visits in various wards to hand out food parcels to individuals in need.
“We call on all young people to close ranks in every corner of our communities and take their rightful place at the forefront of the struggle for change,” he said.
