Three suspects were arrested on March 20 in connection with burglaries at KwaThema Skills School.
According to Ekurhuleni SAPS district spokesperson Captain Neldah Sekgobela, cases of business burglary and possession of suspected stolen property have been opened at the Kwa-Thema Police Station.
The African Reporter recently reported on the spate of break-ins at the school which occurred during the first week of March, where the school’s SGB chairperson Linah Maphuma, urged the public to report to the school or the local SAPS with any information relating to the incidents.
Sekgobela said that on the day of the arrest, the suspects were traced to their place of residence by members of Kwa-Thema SAPS Crime Prevention, where the detectives found the stolen items in their possession.
“The suspects were arrested and detained at the Kwa-Thema SAPS and the recovered items were booked in,” she said.
