Tsakani – A super game between Uhuru Sporting FC and Babinanoko United kept spectators captivated and cheering for their favourite teams.
The game recently took place at the Ext 5 Plus Ground.
Both teams were optimistic, playing defensively as much as possible, until Uhuru changed the game’s dynamic by scoring their first goal in the first half.
Babinanoko tried to catch up but constantly failed to utilise available opportunities. Their coach, Bhuti Mahlanyane, said the match was very intense and competitive from the first whistle.
“In the first half, both teams were strong and well organised, and it was a tough contest on the field. In the second half, I decided to make a substitution to increase our competitiveness and bring fresh energy into the game.

“That decision made a difference. The player displayed confidence on the ball, moved well, and even managed to break through three defenders during one of the key attacking moments,” he explained.
“His movement off the ball created opportunities for the team. Although we worked hard, I was disappointed with the final result because we always play to win.”
Mahlanyane stated that his players are young and very passionate, but they become emotional because they want victory.
“Overall, I am proud of the commitment shown by the team, even though we did not win. With continued support and hard work, they have the potential to achieve even more,” he said.
The game concluded 2-0, a win for Uhuru. The team displayed excitement towards winning the game.

“The first half of the game was not bad. We had control in certain moments, but there are always areas that need improvement.
“I believe we should have wrapped up the game early because the opposition came in compact and defensive,” explained the coach, Thokozani Madonsela.
Madonsela cited that they created chances, but did not capitalise on them.
“There are small issues we need to fix. We did not make any big mistakes, but small details that cost us, especially in front of the goal.
“In the second half, there was more commitment and hunger to score. We hit the crossbar twice, which shows we were getting into the right positions, but our finishing still needs work. Our mobility and movement were good, but we must convert our chances,” he said.

Madonsela emphasised that going forward, he wants to see more hunger from the players and a more organised defence. He said he is more than happy with the effort his players put in throughout the game.
“Although I am not completely satisfied because we could have scored four or five goals.
When it comes to new players, we are not just looking for anyone.
“We want players with character, the right attitude towards the game, and good behaviour in society,” he added.
“We are not just grooming footballers, we are grooming future leaders. Commitment off the field is just as important as performance on the field.
“We even conduct interviews to understand a player’s mindset, discipline, and time management.”
