EMPD arrest Tsakani man for possession of 17 Mandrax tablets

Tsakani – On Tuesday, at about 15:40, EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit officers apprehended a 35-year-old man for possession and possible dealing in illicit substances.
The officers were following up on a complaint received from concerned members of the community about a drug peddler spotted at a residence on Mzimayi Street.
Upon arrival at the premises, the officers apprehended the suspect who was found in possession of 17 brown Mandrax tablets, with an estimated street value of R850.
The substances were seized and booked for evidence.
The suspect, facing charges of possession and possible dealing in illicit substances, was detained at the Tsakane Police Station.
He is expected to appear at the Tsakani Magistrate’s Court soon.
